The last two weeks have been loaded with squats. I've squatted on 7 of the last 14 days, experimenting with extra front squat volume since I find them easy to recover from, and spreading out my training "week" so that I only deadlift a few times per month.
I'm about to have the last session of this 3 week cycle, and it's been pretty solid thus far.
After last Saturday's meet I took a couple of days off before hitting some easy off-program deadlift and front squat sessions early in the week.
Completed the 3rd week of my 3 week training cycle early last week and began tapering volume ahead of the competition. I've continued to work up to heavy singles each day and just dialing back total volume. So far so good.
Great week that went quickly and smoothly will rest tomorrow, skipping my back/arm day becuase I was able to accessorize well enough to cover that this week, and will let me wrap the final week before my pre-meet week a day sooner. High points:
